Kat Dennings was born on 13 June 1986 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and was named Katherine Victoria Litwack. Ellen Dennings was her mom and speech therapist while Gerald was the father and a college professor. Dennings is youngest of five and grew up in an orthodox Jewish household. Dennings went to a school that wasn't traditional, and only briefly went to a homeschool. Homeschooling made sense because she hoped to become an actor from an early age. Her ability to complete her high school education at fourteen years old. At the age of nine old, she started doing commercials on television. Following high school graduation, she and her family moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Kat Dennings, as she was known at the time was a student at the time, and began to audition. Kat Dennings first made an appearance in HBO's "Sex and the City" in the year 2000 after moving to LA. After that, Dennings starred on the sitcom of WB "Sex and the City".
